Did you know that when AT&T's monopoly was originally broken up by the courts in 1980, its local phone service was divided into eight different companies? Unfortunately, over the years the FCC has allowed these companies to buy each other out. Now there are just four of the original baby bells. Even worse, they now have so much power that they have purchased the like of MCI and AT&T's long distance services. At least you can count on us to direct you to long distance carriers that aren't caught up in this unhappy telecom consolidation. ECG stands for Enhanced Communications Group. They have been in business since 1997. |
